PROLOGUE
Welcome to ‘Devil’s Grave’. The place where no one but I can roam. I know it is forbidden, but this is the only place I feel at home. I have no idea why I feel happy here but all I know is that I love it. It feels like people watch over me, like soldiers and monsters from the past. It seems as if the people here are taking care of me. The feeling you get when its sunny out and all you can do is watch the birds fly from one oak tree to another. To watch the squirrels race to a chestnut and nibble on it quickly, to see the light red and orange leaves fly acrossed your face. This is what I feel when I’m sitting on a torn up log with my feet dipped in the cold water. The heat all over my face and no one to bother me but the stars at night.
I pick up a light feather. It feels as soft as silk and as beautiful as the sun on a crystal. The blue and green stripes on the sides look like a strange tiger. I know what this came from. It came from a demonian. I’m the only one in this place who believes they are real. Because I created them when I was a baby. I used to draw pictures of them when I was two years old. They looked like fairys and glass at the same time. The demonians are real. But everyone I knew thought it was just a plain old drawing. But they didn’t know that the trees were listening to them. The trees got angry and began to die. They then sprouted up at Devil’s Grave.
Everyone thought it was forbidden to stay here because the devil was sighted here. They said that a red light came down and killed many people, but only one person survived. They said it was the devil himself; reincarnated into a little girl. But they were wrong. I told them they were acting silly but they didn’t believe me because I wasn’t famous. They said, “If you can’t find a way than you need to make a way.” I listened to them. I began to live in Devil’s Grave. And one day I will show everyone that Demonians and my family of soldiers and monsters are real.

Chapter One: No getting out
Lilian Trescott stood up out of the cold water; the sun made half her face light up beautifully, the cold breeze made her skin a light pink. She didn’t have anything to do but imagine her Demonians. To think of what they would say and react to a human living in Devil’s Grave. To what they would do if Lilian became their family. Lilian was afraid they would come to striking an attack. But if she thought it right, her future friends would come to love her and take care of her. Lillian was the only one in the world that could think exactly what they would look like. Exactly how they would stand and act. Lilian began to think.
The demonian wolf named William was the most handsome of all the demonians. Women swooned and fell from his feet as he walked down a long red velvet carpet. Actors, Actresses, jokers, brides, knights, and carnival men stood on the sides of the carpet cheering and blowing whistles. Today was the return of Prince William. He had long light brown hair that soon came to a tiny pony-tail at the bottom. He was wolf because of his large pointed ears. and he had beautiful blue eyes that shone bright and lean. The women ran up to William’s feet and kissed his pink cheek. He was faking a smile, he didn’t want to be here or even be the prince. He just wanted to live a human life, one where you can be freed from sword practices, bride choosings, and townsmen trying to entertain you. He exspecially hated the fact that today he would be choosing a bride. He hated the fact that his father had to die and make him become king.
Lilian Trescott walked in the start of the crowd, pushing and struggling, she wanted to see what everyone was cheering about. Lilian kept going through the maze of Carnys until she was standing right in front of William. She had long brown hair with sand on her legs, her feet were soaked with water, and her clothing was ragged and old. William stopped suddenly and looked down at her. Everyone gasped and became quiet. With a confused look on his face, William pushed Lilian to the side and kept walking. He knew better not to talk to or look at a peasant but he couldn’t help it. He knew she was human. Almost to the end of the carpet he looked back at Lilian, he felt guilty and depressed that he pushed her like that. He turned his head back to the townsmen and began to walk slower. Lilian smiled happily and ran up to William, “Thank you sir for being so kind. I’m sorry for you feeling sad but I understand.” She was tugging at the side of his shirt and ran back into the crowd. William smirked and began to walk faster, she could’ve been hanged if she had done anything more. He came to the end of the carpet and stood up straight. Three puffy birds flew out of a nest in their tree and swirled around Lilian’s head. One was large and round with red little cheeks. It was a tan brown and lit up bright in the sun. it had small little legs and flew like an eagle as it soared around Lilian. William stood there silently until a large round man came out of the crowd with his arms in the air. The crowd cheered wildy as Lilian ran through the crowd to see at least twenty beautiful women in white dresses. She stood at least three feet from the round man and listened quietly to the man. The man yelled out in an advertisingly voice, “Prince William III will now choose his lovely wife for his new kinghood!” Lilian was surprised, “Prince?” She whispered quietly to herself. William was the prince of the Demonians. William nodded and searched thoroughly for the correct woman. He started to stare at a woman in long brown curly hair, she looked to be the most beautiful of all of them. The woman began to smile as if she knew he was going to choose her. William than looked away, he was sick and tired of all of this, “I have no interest in any of these women.” He looked down hoping they would get a new woman for him to choose from. The round man looked down annoyed. His round body moving side-to-side after every word, “There must be a woman somewhere that you would choose.” William shook his head angrily, he didn’t want to become king, he wanted to live a better life than this. He drew his sword and pointed it in a random direction, making sure his head was still faced down and his eyes closed. “The next woman that this blade is pointed at will be my wife. If it is a man that is pointed, I become a king without a wife.” Every person looked at the blade and followed it down to see Lilian May Trescott standing on the left of the round man. William looked up quickly when everyone gasped and began laughing. He opened his eyes and saw Lilian confused and standing in front of the blade of his sword. He was being humiliated, “No no it-it was the blade-I mean-I didn’t mean to point at her-it was on accident. I was trying to point at-” He stopped. How could he say that he wanted to point at the round man so he couldn’t get married? He was going to be married to a peasant and hope that he doesn’t create that girl’s life a living hell.
Lilian stopped thinking about the reaction they would make and looked around confused. She wasn’t where she was before. She wasn’t sitting on a log with wet feet and sand on her legs anymore. The sun wasn’t shining on her face and her hair didn’t have dirt in it. She was in a beautiful white room with a small concrete window behind a neatly fit bed. Lilian looked out of the window and saw the moon high in the sky. The stars glimmered as light as a christmas tree with ornaments lit up in different and strange colors. She saw William sitting on a large rock with his hand under his soft chin. He was guilty, he was sorry for making a girl have to live a life like his. “I can’t take it anymore. I don’t want to become a king. Not like this.” He put his hands over his face as golden tears trickled down his chin. Lilian slowly began to sit on the bed, but she kept watching William, I must be dreaming. Only Demonians have feelings in my thoughts. She kept staring at him, his handsome face with golden wet tears on his shirt. The moon shone bright like a crystal in the sun, William wiped the tears off his face and turned his head at Lilian. He whispered quietly to himself, sadness in his perfect rich voice “I’m sorry.” He stood up and walked away from the rock, past a garden of large purple flowers, over a small dried creek-bed, and into the large stone castle where Lilian was in. Lilian turned around and sat on the neat bed with her hands in her lap, “I want to make him feel better. To make him know that I’m fine with him marrying me.” A golden tear went down her cheek and Lilian stood up. She looked in the mirror scared, fear was trembling inside of her, “What? What is this?” She pushed her hair back and fell backwards with a large thump, “Why do I…” She stopped, she didn’t know why golden tears were running down her cheeks. She was a human, not a demonian. Although she was born and raised as a human she didn’t know exactly, “William!” She screamed as loud as she could and stumbled to her feet. She was scared and trembling. This wasn’t a dream. This wasn’t a figure of her imagination. She was in the heart of Devil’s Grave. The black heart of Kings, Queens, Princes, Princess’s, Peasants, Armys, and carnival men. Her pictures, her imagination, they both became reality.
William opened the door to see Lilian standing up straight and trembling. He put his warm hands on her shoulders and felt the intense shockwave that was going through her body. “What’s wrong?” He looked in her eyes and clenched his hands on her harder, his eyes in a narrow urge, why do I?- wait. I have to it at the wedding anyhow so it won’t matter. It’s a greeting. Nothing more. He shook his head and saw the intense fear in Lilian’s eyes. I have to do this now. Now… He lunged at her face and placed his lips on hers; Lilian woke up in her trance and fell into the deep kiss. It was more perfect and true than Lilian being a demonian. Lilian passed out on William’s warm body and began to sleep. A sleep deeper than a black hole. The sounds of others in her head were the only things she could hear. She dreamt of only what would or might be. William was sitting beside her the entire time, waiting for her to awake. Life was in her arms, she didn’t know why, but the sounds of birds fluttered through her head. The daydream of William’s hands on her shoulders and the deep kiss that became reality. She wondered if it was all true. Was she a demonian or human? And was it love or force that William felt for her? William would know the answer, her human family would know the answer, her friends might even know the answer. But why was she the only one that didn’t know herself?
Lilian’s large blue eyes opened up slowly. It was light outside; the birds were chirping and flying inside her open bedroom window. Blue birds with green and orange stripes perched on her bed. A round tan brown bird with red cheeks came last of all of them and sat on her head. It than began to make beautiful hoots and tweets. Like the sound of water running off rocks, the sound of grass whistling between the wind, the sound of snow when it falls off the trees, the sound of tiny elves and fairy’s dancing to folkmusic, and most of all, the sound of a bright red light that can move trees from a town to Devil’s Grave.
Lilian found a smooth hand on her bed, she looked up slowly to see William crying golden tears. He began to smile and put his hand on her opposite shoulder from him, “So little one, what is your name?” He smiled carelessly and placed his lips on hers for only a mere second. Lilian sat up as a cup of light blue liquid sat in her arms, “My name is Lilian May Trescott.” She looked down with a sigh and let her shoulders drop. She didn’t know what to say next, what William had said was just a greeting of hello, “I think we should get to know eachother before the wedding…” She stopped and thought carefully, he was a prince so getting him mad was not a good thing to do, “And… Before we start kissing.” Lilian put the cup on a table sitting next to the bed, it was made out of the strongest and smoothest wood. She put her hand on the wood and rubbed it slowly. William shook his head in agreement and sat on the end of the bed; making it tip up a bit compared to eachothers weight, “I understand. I guess this won’t be such a problem after all.” He put a smile acrossed his face that seemed he wouldn’t care if the world was about to end. He looked kind, and I was happy that he was more nice than most people I’ve met.
Chapter Two: A problem after all
William woke up with drool on his cheek. He was more tired than he ever has been, but he didn’t know why. He put his smooth hand on his face, the moon was still up and shining little bits of light in his room. He rubbed the wet drool off his face when he heard Lilian’s voice outside of his door.
“Why can’t I go in William’s room? He’s always awake at this time.” She stamped her foot on the wooden floor, “Please?” She begged. Two knights standing outside of the door shook their heads, “King William must not be disturbed today. He has had enough confusion these past few days.” Lilian grabbed both the knights by their shirts, “I’m so sorry for this.” She shook her head and slammed their helmets together. The knights fell on the floor in a large thump as Lilian tried to struggle behind them. Lilian quietly turned the knob and opened the door to William’s room. The metal on the knob made her hands sting and her sleepiness in her head made her feel like passing out. She let go of the knob and looked up at William. He was rubbing his face and yawning, “Good morning.” He said in a long yawn as he sat up and put his legs over the side of the warm cushion. Lilian quietly closed the door of the room and sat down on the hard floor, “I wanted to-” William put his index finger in the air, “Hold that thought.” He slid his warm hands underneath Lilian’s arms and placed her on the bed next to him, “You wouldn’t want to sit on a hard floor like that would you?” He smiled his careless smile and began to write things on a piece of paper. Lilian nodded, a bit confused but glad he cared, she said softly and eagerly, “Please put the paper away. I want to talk to you.” She placed her small and gentle hand on the part of his lower arm and took the paper away, “I want to get to know you much better.” William reached out for the paper but stopped and sighed. He didn’t want her to know, “You may read it. But it isn’t very-” “I know exactly Prince William. You want your father back so you don’t have to become king.” Lilian had to interrupt or William wouldn’t understand. William sighed, “If it wasn’t you who called me ‘prince’, I would have screamed in their face…” He stopped and put his large hands over Lilian’s small hand, “Or worse.” Lilian smiled and tilted her head, she had to convince William otherwise, “Oh I’m sorry. I’m sure you wouldn’t do such a thing.” Lilian stood up and got out of his grasp, “It’s beautiful outside, we should be enjoying it.” Lilian opened up the curtains to see a black shadow run acrossed the shining yard of flowers, “I wonder what that is?” She stared at it until it stopped running and looked up at her. It’s black body and Pitch black eyes stared directly back at her. Lilian shut the curtains and jumped back on the warm blankets, “Nevermind.”
-This is also not finished. I’m sorry, but there are a lot of my stories that I stopped working on, because I believed they weren’t good enough to finish.
